Kathryn Cvar, M.D.
Dr. Cvar considers it an honor to be allowed into her patient’s lives. Upon completion of medical school she chose the Ob/Gyn specialty as it allowed her to provide primary care medicine and perform surgeries. It also allows a special bond with patient’s as it promotes doctor/patient relationships that can last for decades.
Dr. Cvar received her undergraduate degree in Biology from UC Riverside, her medical degree from St. Louis University and completed her residency at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Cvar has been a partner of Mission Ob/Gyn for over ten years. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has volunteered at the Camino Health Center in San Juan Capistrano and currently resides on the Mission Hospital Infectious Disease Committee.
Dr. Cvar enjoys all aspects of Ob/Gyn. She has a special interest in obstetrics and loves getting to know her patients while explaining low and high-risk situations. Gynecology, on the other hand, has many aspects that she enjoys and some of which include laparoscopy and hormone management for both menopausal and polycystic ovarian syndrome.
Dr. Cvar spends her free time with her loving family including her husband of over twenty years and her twins. Other interests include yoga, hiking, and reading.
